Neil Everett Shaw's Obituary
Neil Everett Shaw, 78, of Grove, OK, passed away at his home Sunday, October the 13th, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born July the 27th, 1946 in Sparta, WI to Vernon Glen Shaw and Laurel Beth (Willey) Shaw. At age 5, Neil's family moved from Wisconsin to California. After attending school through the 11th grade, he joined the United States Navy, serving during the Viet Nam War.
On December the 20th, 1975, he married the love of his life, the former Candice Groves, in a Las Vegas, NV ceremony. He was an evangelist, a car salesman, and he and Candice owned a custom car tag business selling in Phoenix, AR and at the Woodland Hills Mall in Tulsa, OK.
Neil was a member of Victory Bible Church in Tulsa. He loved to playing golf, fishing, and watching and participating in sporting events, and life on Grand Lake.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, and a brother, Thomas Shaw.
He is survived by his wife, Candice, of the home on Grand Lake, Grove, OK; 5 children, Monique Campbell of Richmond, VA, Melissa Asad of Grove, OK, Matthew Shaw and wife Hannah of Tulsa, OK, Tryna Walker of Marietta, CA, and Martin Thayer of Oregon; three siblings, Nancy Hunt of Fullerton, CA, Teri Burmeister of Yorba Linda, CA, and Larry Shaw of Poway, CA; grandchildren, Thomas, Desi Marie, Matthew, Kai, Patrick, Alexandria, Adam, Christopher, Skyler, and Lexington; a brother in law, Ronald M. Groves; three sisters in law, Connie Rice and husband Jerry of Tulsa, Carol Matza and husband Jeri of Tulsa, and Marsha Shaw of Huntington Beach, CA; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a private ceremony at a later time.
