Mitch Yost's Obituary
Due to inclement weather, the Celebration of Life has been postponed until 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 7th, at Welch Baptist Church.
Jonathan Mitchell Yost, 55, of Miami, Okla., passed away January 26, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin.
Mitch was born May 6th, 1966 in Oswego, Kansas to Johnny and Patricia (Kelsey) Yost. He was a graduate of Welch High School. He owned his own business where he specialized in laying flooring. When time allowed, he enjoyed hunting and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by a sister, Teresa Cearley, and by his grandparents.
Those left behind to mourn his loss include his children, Alicia Kirksey and husband Andrew of Pittsburg, KS, Jaxon Yost of Miami, William Howell of Jay, Samantha Roof of Tulsa, AJ Roof of Miami, Grant Laue of Miami, and Colby Roof of Tulsa; a sister, Kellie Wallace and husband Dewayne of Bluejacket, Sierra Yost of Claremore, Joe Mehl and family, and Kyler Mehl and family; and his grandchildren, Maverick Caswell, Sawyer Kirksey, and Timber Kirksey.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 7th, 2022, at the Welch Baptist Church. Pastor Blake Wallace will officiate. A private family burial will be held later.
