Merlin Arnold's Obituary
Homer Merlin Arnold, 73, a well-known and longtime Welch, Okla. resident, passed away Friday, March 6th, 2015, at Integris Baptist Regional Health Center in Miami, Okla. after an illness. He passed surrounded by loving family members. Merlin was born June 13, 1941 in Welch to Homer Arnold and Naomi (Corn) Arnold. He was a graduate of Welch High School. He retired after spending a number of years as a truck driver hauling horses and most recently driving for Helena Chemical Company in Welch. He was most known for his welding skills, often called upon by many, many local farmers and ranchers. There was nothing Merlin could not do when it came to work. Merlin is survived by three sons, Clay Arnold and wife Ashley, of Welch; Shawn Arnold, of Welch; and Justin Mount, also of Welch; one brother, Ronnie Arnold, of Tahlequah, Okla.; six grandchildren,; and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Thomas Funeral Home in Welch from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2015. Private family burial will be held.
