Maver Melissa Victoria Lynn Speer's Obituary
Maver Melissa Victoria Lynn Speer, 48, of Bluejacket, OK, passed away July 1st, 2023, at Freeman Hospital in Joplin from injuries sustained in an unfortunate accident. She was surrounded by her loving family.
She was born May 3rd, 1975 in Vinita, OK to Oliver and Vickie (Mason) Walker. She was a graduate of Bluejacket High School. On December 18th, 2018, she was united in marriage to Gary Speer. They made their home in rural Bluejacket.
Maver was a CMA for Rosewood Terrance in Vinita before going to work for Windridge Nursing in Miami. She most recently worked for Ruby Rose Café and Bluejacket Public Schools. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafting and going camping with her children and grandchildren, who she was totally devoted to. She was a member of the Timber Hill Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; an infant grandson, Austin Bava; and a cousin, Kim Jinks.
She is survived by her husband, Gary, of the home; four children, Heaven Bava and boyfriend Brett, Victoria (Tori) Speer, Alley Bava, and Destinie Medearis and husband TJ; a brother, Jake Walker; grandson Trenton Medearis; special nieces and nephews, Chloe, Noah, and Natalee, along with several others; and a host of good friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 11th, 2023 at the Timber Hill Baptist Church. Pastor Dan Weiser will officiate. She will be laid to rest at the Walker Cemetery in a private family burial.
In lieu of flowers, please honor Maver with a donation to the education fund for her granddaughter, that is set up at Welch State Bank.
