Maudie Belle Bluejacket's Obituary
Former Welch, Oklahoma resident Maudie Belle Bluejacket, 80, of Afton, Okla., passed away Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Craig General Hospital in Vinita after an illness. Maudie Belle was born March 30, 1933 in Welch to John and Cordelia (Harlan) Cravens. She was a graduate of Welch High School, class of 1951. She was a beautician for many years in Welch. She was united in marriage to Billy Lee Bluejacket on June 9, 1951 in Welch. Bill preceded her in death on September 3, 1988. She is also preceded in death by her parents, 1 grand-daughter, Sheila Rutledge, 3 brothers, and one sister. She is survived by two sons, Bruce Bluejacket and Brad Bluejacket, both of Afton, Okla., Debbie Waselues, of Afton, Okla., one sister, Helen Ferrell of Orlando, Florida, 8 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; and a host of friends. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 Sunday afternoon, February 2, 2014 at the Thomas Funeral Home, Welch. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 3, 2014 at the Thomas Funeral Home, Welch. Pallbearers will be Josh Rutledge, Lee Bluejacket, Eddie Cravens, Rick Stafford, Tim Henson, and Norm Wininger, Jr. Burial will follow in the Bluejacket Cemetery.
