Mary Jean Turner's Obituary
Mary Jean (Sherman) Turner, formerly of Afton, OK., passed away Thursday, June the 21st, 2012 at her daughters home in Oklahoma City, OK. She was 76 years old. She was a homemaker. She was born June the 19th, 1936 in Afton, OK., to George and Ima (Trask) Sherman. She married Earl Turner. Mary was survived by one son: Richard David Killingsworth and spouse Rhonda, of Berryville, AR., one daughter: Susan Diane Welch and spouse Fred, of Oklahoma City, OK., son-in-law; Ed Turlington, one brother; Dean Sherman, of Florida, one sister; Doris Gibson, of Salina, KS., twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter; Mary Charlene Turlington, one brother; George Sherman, and one sister; Jan Harrison. Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June the 29th, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Afton, with Rev. David Killingsworth, Rev. Drew Killingworth, and Rev. Ted Wynn officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Rick Sherman, Kyle Hutton, Dave Davis, Aaron Killingsworth, Drew Killingsworth, and Adam Killingsworth. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Eddy Houghton, Jim Gibson, Andy Ellison, and Dean Bridges. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, June the 28th, 2012 at the Adcock Funeral Home Chapel in Afton. Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Afton. Services are under the direction of Adcock Funeral Home, Afton, OK.
