Mary Emily Tullis' Obituary
Mary Emily Tullis, 78, of Welch, OK, passed away January 22, 2018 at Landmark Hospital in Joplin, MO, after an illness. She was born September 25, 1939 in Vinita, OK to Charles and Velma (Ayres) Garrett. On August 30, 1959, she married Joe L. Tullis. She worked as a receptionist for many years at Bethany Hospital in Kansas City, KS. She enjoyed crocheting, and watching football and hockey. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; 1 son, Ronnie Tullis; 2 Brothers, Charles and Dean Garrett; 1 sister, Arleta Garrett; granddaughter, Sara Silvers. She is survived by her husband, Joe; 1 son, Robert Tullis of Welch; 1 daughter, Lori Cox and husband, Ronald of Welch; 2 brothers, Wayne Garrett of El Paso TX and Larry Garrett of Broken Arrow; 1 sister, Juanita Crafton of Bluejacket; 2 sister-in-laws, Francis and Kathy Garrett; 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and a host of friends. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Family Praise Center, Vinita. Pastor Jerry Ogden will officiate. Arrangements entrusted to Thomas Funeral Home, Welch, OK.
