Mary Lou Wilson's Obituary
Longtime resident and dearly loved by many, Mrs. Mary Lou Wilson passed away early Tuesday Morning May 5, 2009 in Miami, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years. Mary Lou was born August 15, 1926 in Welch, Oklahoma to her parents Will and Vina Grimm Ritchal. Mary Lou attended school and her childhood years in Commerce, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker by trade and has raised 3 children. Many hours were spent around Mary Lou’s table enjoying her cooking. On November 14, 1945 young Mr. Albert Wilson took Miss Mary Lou as his bride in Chetopa, Kansas. They have resided and raised their family in Miami ever since. Mary Lou enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She attended Bethany Christian Church and has been a faithful Christian example. She also enjoyed gardening and collecting owls.
Although Mary Lou is no longer with us, her memory and legacy will be kept alive through the family and friends she leaves behind which include:
1 Daughter: Lou Wilson of Miami, Oklahoma, 2 Sons: Ron Wilson of Stillwater, Oklahoma and Willie Wilson of Joplin, Missouri, 2 Granddaughters: Jennifer Hessee of Miami, Oklahoma and Julie Wilson of Miami, Oklahoma, 2 Great Grandsons: Jordan and Braden Hessee both of Miami, Oklahoma. Mary Lou is preceded in death by her parents, Husband: Albert Wilson, 2 Sisters: Bertha Mills and Mayme Kyser.
The family will be receiving friends for visitation on Wednesday evening May 6, 2009 at Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home from 6-7 PM.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday May 7, 2009 at Bethany Christian Church with Pastor Ron Eden officiating. Interment will follow at GAR Cemetery. Pallbearers include: Richard Barry, Chad Hopping, Jordan Hessee, Braden Hessee, Mike Lillie and Lonnie Schnakenberg.
