Marvin D. Rupert's Obituary
Marvin D. Rupert, 72, of Miami, Okla., passed away early Wednesday morning, February 13, 2019 in Miami, after an illness.
He was born December 15, 1946 in Welch, Okla. to Robert Rupert and Retha L. (Finley) Rupert. He attended the Rogers School for four years and then attended Welch Public Schools.
He was handy at doing yardwork, a job he was called to do for others. He loved playing pool, fishing, digging fishing worms, and collecting watches.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Robert Rupert.
He is survived by two brothers, Tommy Rupert and wife Betty of Miami, and Larry and wife Barbara, of Miami; 8 nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins.
A visitation will be held Friday, February 15, 2019 from 5-6 p.m. at the Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Welch. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 16, 2019, also in the chapel. Chaplain Dan Weiser will officiate. He will be laid to rest in the Oakhill Cemetery, Chetopa, Kans. Family members will be casket bearers.
