Margueritte Joyce Walker's Obituary
Margueritte Joyce Walker, 89, of Miami, OK, passed away at her home early Saturday morning, February the 22nd, 2025, after a long illness.
She was born June the 15th, 1935, in Collinsville, OK to Stephen Wallace Lasley and Mazenia (Abbott) Lasley.
She was married to Earnie Walker for many years prior to his passing.
She worked as a Social Worker for the State of Oklahoma for 30 years before retiring. Helping others is what her life revolved around. She was a true example of what a "lady" was meant to be.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earnie; a sister, Dode; and a granddaughter, Tracy Sikes.
She is survived by two children, Rilena Joyce Hogner of Wewoka, OK, and Steve Munson (Bobbie) of Wyandotte, OK; her twin sister, Marquiese Rider; and six grandchildren, Travis and Kaleb Hogner, and Julie, Stevie, Jamie, and Eric Munson; ten great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild, and special niece, Karla Asbury.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Welch Cemetery. The date and time will be announced soon.
