Marguerite Lucille Miller's Obituary
Marguerite Lucille Miller, 91, a lifetime resident of rural Welch, passed away January 15th, 2014, at the Heartsworth Center for Nursing in Vinita, OK after a long illness. She was born on April 19, 1922 near Welch to Vernie and Ethel (Moore) Griffith. She attended the West Anthracite School District. On December 20, 1939, Marguerite married William Eugene Miller. He preceded her in death on February 14, 1990. She was a member of the Methodist Church and was baptized in 1952. She was employed as a seamstress by the H.D. Lee Garment Factory for fifteen years. She loved to cook and spend time piecing and quilting her quilts. Marguerite was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one sister, Ruby Broyles, and one brother, Melvin Griffith. Marguerite is survived by one daughter, Marlene Boyd and husband Raymond of Welch, one sister, Lavenia Rohmiller of Miami, two grandchildren, Tamara Tynon and husband Scott, Dana Scott, and husband, Chuck, both of Welch, great-grandchildren, Chase Mayfield, Wade Mayfield, Jesse Tynon, Jerrod Tynon, Jake Tynon, and Amanda Scott, and great-great grandchildren Miranda Mayfield and Dakota Mayfield. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at the Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Welch. Reverend Tyson Wynn will officiate. Private family burial will be at a later date.
