Margie Marie Crabtree's Obituary
Margie Marie Crabtree, 84, of Kansas City, MO, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2016 at the North Kansas City Hospital. She was born in Oma, Arkansas on March 2, 1932 to Kenneth Morgan Heiney and Pearl Ann (White) Heiney. She was married for many years to Kenneth Lee Crabtree, Sr. He preceded her in death on July 31, 2009. Margie received her Bachelor Degree. She was a retired school teacher, teaching in the Hazelwood School District for many years. She loved sewing and quilting. She was of the Baptist faith. She loved her family dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and six siblings, Russell Gene, Bud, Clifford, Dale, George, and Sylvia Ruth Heiney. She is survived by one daughter, Anna Marie Crabtree of Kansas City, MO; one son, Kenneth Lee Crabtree and wife Teresa of Gladstone, MO; two sisters, Hazel Heiney of Vinita, OK, and Winnie Durbin of Bluejacket, OK; two brothers, Tom Heiney of Chelsea, OK and Ralph Heiney of Guymon, OK; two grandsons, Joseph and William Crabtree; numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 13, 2016 at the Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Welch. Pastor Ralph Heiney will officiate. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Bluejacket Cemetery.
