Margaret E. Walls' Obituary
Margaret E. Walls of Welch, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, October 31, 2014 at Higher Call Nursing Center, Quapaw, at the age of 93. She was born October 3, 1921 to John and Anna (Nehib) Altebaumer in Munster, TX. She married Lee Walls on June 20, 1940. He preceded her in death on March 22, 1979. Margaret loved working in her garden and raising cattle. She was a member of the St. Ann's Catholic Church of Welch, where she faithfully served the Lord for many years. She was a member and former President of the Welch Garden Club. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and 6 siblings. Margaret is survived by 2 sons, Ray Walls and wife Donna of Welch; John Walls and wife Shelba of Miami; 1 daughter, Marlene Cook and husband Ron of Benton, AR; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 27 great-great grandchildren; 1 sister, Maggie Altebaumer of Miami; and a host of nieces, nephews; other family members, and friends. Visitation will be at 6:00 p.m. Monday, November 3, 2014 at the Thomas Funeral Home, Welch. Rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at the St. Ann's Catholic Church, Welch. Rev. M.E. Cashen will officiate. Interment at St. Rose Cemetery, Chetopa, KS.
