Mable Irene Hook's Obituary
Mable Irene Hook, 96-year-old longtime area resident, passed away Saturday September 8, 2018.
Mable was born in Leoti, Kansas on June 27, 1922 to Jay and Clara (Nutt) Weaver. She moved to the Miami area in 1949. Mable was a provider and a homemaker all her life and four children. She was also a skilled seamstress and did embroidery work. She also enjoyed playing cards.
Mable was preceded in death by her husband Hiram Hook, daughters, Barbara Mishler and Mary Lee Hays, son, Rodney Jay Curnutte, and a grandson, Rodney Lee Curnutte. She is also preceded in death by six brothers and sisters, Robert Weaver, Clarence Weaver, Fread Weaver, Laura Shivers, Olive Adams, and Marie Freek.
Mable is survived by two children, Larry Curnutte of Miami, Oklahoma, and Thomas Curnutte and wife Barbara of Rockledge, Florida, 10 grandchildren, Art Mishler, Renee Saladin, Justin Curnutte, John Wayne Mericle, Robert Mericle, Judy Hill, Clayton Rector, Bridgett Curnutte, April Gonzalez, and Sunni Payne, as well as numerous great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mable will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at the Immanuel Baptist Church in Miami, Oklahoma. Pastor Mark Nickles will officiate. Interment will follow at Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens in Miami, Oklahoma.
A visitation for friends and family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 10, 2018 at the Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami, Oklahoma.
