Lucille Brady's Obituary
Lucille Curry Brady, age 106, of Welch, Okla., passed away peacefully Monday, April 27, 2020 at St. Ann's nursing home in Oklahoma City, Okla. She was born April 6, 1914, the daughter of Fred Curry and Mattie (Williams) Curry.
Lucille was born on a farm just east of Welch, and she remained a resident of Welch until the age of 97, when she moved in with family. She retired as a seamstress and then worked part-time for Welch Public Schools. Lucille enjoyed baking, gardening, birdwatching, attending church services, and senior citizens activities. She also looked forward to any family gatherings, especially if the great-grandchildren were involved. Another one of her favorite things to do was tell stories about growing up on the farm.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 48 years, Charles "Ted" Brady, and her daughter, Shirley Cline and husband Raymond Cline, Jr. She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Ethel Henderson, Beulah Litle, Hazel Huxall, and Edna Abbot, and her two brothers, Earl Curry and Preston Curry.
She is survived by her granddaughter and grandson in law, Jackie and Virgil Nidiffer of Carney, Okla.; her grandson, Timothy Cline of Memphis, Tenn.; a great granddaughter, Desiree Cline of Justin, Texas; great grandson, Zach Nidiffer and wife Lindsay of Centerton, Arkansas; a great granddaughter, Abbie Nidiffer Rambo and wife Liz of Oklahoma City; six great grandchildren, Jesse Rambo, Ainsley, Evan, and Ellie Nidiffer, and Andrew "A.J." Rambo Nidiffer; and one great great grandson, Braxton Rambo.
Funeral services for Lucille will not be held at this time. A small family memorial service will be held at a later date. She was laid to rest in the Williams Timberhill Cemetery, east of Welch.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations of food delivery and/or personal protective equipment be donated to St. Ann's staff and Mercy Hospice staff at St. Ann's Home, 9400 St. Ann Drive, Oklahoma City, OK 73162 (405-728-7888).
