Loyd "Joe" Ira Reynolds' Obituary
Loyd Ira "Joe" Reynolds, 66, of Vinita, OK passed away Friday, February 19, 2016 at Hillcrest South in Tulsa, OK, with his loving family at his side. He was born March 22, 1949 in Tulsa, OK. He was a graduate of Catoosa High School. On September 20, 1996, Joe married the love of his life, Lynnette Duvall, in Vinita, OK, where they made their home. Above all, Joe loved to spread the gospel and he was known to walk up to strangers he felt drawn to and minister to them. Joe also loved to coyote hunt, fish, and play bluegrass music. Joe was an accomplished machinist, and had worked for several machine shops in the Tulsa area. He was proudly retired. Joe is survived by his loving wife, Lynnette, of the home; two sons, Dusty Reynolds and wife Leslie of Catoosa, Brice Reheard and wife Lydia of Tulsa; one daughter, Stacy Smith and husband Danny of Tulsa; one brother, Buck Reynolds and wife Zola of Catoosa; seven grandchildren, Garron Sanders and wife Brittany, Kaylee, Kaden, Grant, and Gentry, and Koben Smith, and Eli Reynolds; one aunt, Ruby Heston of Kimbolton, Ohio; his father in law and mother in law, Henry and Roberta Collins of Vinita; numerous cousins, and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Ann (Cobler) Horner, and two granddaughters, Chelsea Smith and Amberlyn Smith. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Emmanuel Church, west of Vinita. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2016 also at Emmanuel Church. Pastors Bruce Butler and Wayman White will officiate. Private family burial will be in the Walker Cemetery, northwest of Welch. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Thomas Funeral Home, P.O. Box 231 Welch, OK 74369, to help offset burial expenses.
