Linda Bachman's Obituary
Linda Rae Bachman, of resident of rural Miami, passed away Friday evening, November the 21st, 2025, at Landmark Hospital in Joplin, MO. She was 80 years old.
She was born May the 8th, 1945 in Commerce, OK to Jack Sherman McCoy and Doretha Imogene (Beebe) McCoy. She was raised in Commerce and graduated from Commerce High School.
She then attended NEO A&M College where she was a cheerleader. She earned an Associate Degree.
On September the 25th, 1965, she married the love of her life, Leonard Bachman, in a ceremony held in Commerce, OK. She and Leonard spent some time in Bartlesville where she worked for H.C. Price at the historic Price Towers.
Upon returning to Commerce, she worked many years as the secretary for Commerce Middle School. She attended Mount Zion church west of Commerce.
She is preceded in death by a daughter, Christina Bachman; and her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Leonard; a brother, Larry McCoy and wife Dayna of Bartlesville, OK; her nieces, KK Grinstead, Carrie Williams, and Cammie Moon; and a nephew, Matthew McCoy.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, November the 24th, at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 25th, also at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home. Pastor Howie Moss will officiate. Burial will follow at GAR Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Jim Hollon, Kevin Fenton, Kyle Bachman, Troy Bachman, Jared Bachman, and Rick Williams.
Services are entrusted to the Thomas & Chenoweth Funeral Home in Welch.
