Larry Joe Steele's Obituary
Joseph Lawrence "Larry Joe" Steele, 72, of Welch passed away Monday, June 13, 2016, in Pittsburg, Kan. He was born June 2, 1944, in Miami. He attended school in Miami and Welch. He was a truck driver for 52 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Robert Joe Steele; two grandchildren, Ashley Rexwinkle and Darren Rexwinkle; and a daughter-in-law, Carrie Steele. He is survived by his wife, Carline, of Welch; one son, Gary Steele of Bluejacket; grandson, Matt Steele of Bluejacket; granddaughter, Nicole (Jeremy) Poole of Bluejacket; two stepdaughters, Shelly (Brian) Schultz of Zanesville, OH and Rhonda Davenport of Bluejacket; two stepsons, Barry (Christina) Armstrong and Allen (Robin) Armstrong, both of Welch; 11 additional grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; his brother, John (Pam) Steele of Pryor, and a special niece, Nikki Bruegger of Colorado. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2016 at the Welch Baptist Church. Private family burial will be held in the Walker Cemetery, northwest of Welch.
