Leon, Mary & family. I received the news today of your loss. Your family is in my thoughts. Some of my favorite memories of my childhood involved Lance. My favorite summer was spent building a fort in the woods near the top of the hill. I will also cheerish the memories of our time in band together. He will live on through our memories and thoughts.

It seems such a short time ago that he was in fourth grade -- always thinking and usually smiling. I'm so very sorry for your loss.
Where do I begin to start with Lance... He was a friend like no other. Every time I was with him was an adventure waiting to happen. An evening sitting at home could turn into an all night writing session that made a short story turn into a 60 page novella. Driving around town would likely turn into getting lost on some dirt road 60 miles from home. Going out to eat always meant meeting new people. I can honestly say I don't think I ever went to Wal-Mart without coming home with some outlandish story... Though I won't have any new stories to tell, he will forever live on in the many that I already have. When I meet new people and begin to recount some of our great adventures, it is always met with laughs and smiles. I can honestly say that I am glad to have known him. He will long be remembered by people he never even met through the tales of our time together!
