Coach Sooter was the best and most respected coach of my lifetime. He gave me encouragement and praise when I was a young coach at Claremore Sequoyah many years ago. If there is a sports program in Heaven, then Coach Sooter will surely be the head coach.

Coach Sooter taught me the fundamentals in elementary school. He also taught life lessons on and off the court. He will be greatly missed in the community. My favorite memory is him telling me "you run down the floor like Grandma Moses". Love and Prayers to the whole family!

Oh, my he was/is such a wonderful person. He was hopeful since I was tall that I could play basketball and tried very kindly to teach me to play. But I could not aim very well at any sport that included a ball. Instead he gave in and understood that my girlfriend Marilyn and I just wanted to ride our horses 24/7. He was a very smart inspirational man. One of a kind. Blessings to all the family.
I have good memories of WHS, partially because of Coach Sooter's character and encouragement.The legacy of his influence on the "kids" will be good for generations to come.
