Kenneth Joe Simpson's Obituary
Kenneth Joe Simpson, a eighty-three year old Miami resident passed away on Friday, October 9, 2020 at Integris Miami Hospital. Joe was born on July 21, 1937 in Pampa, Texas to Paul E. and Nona A. (Middleton) Simpson. He attended Highschool in Texas, then attended NEO A&M and then West Texas University. Joe worked in Miami for the City of Miami's Utilities Department for thirty-five years. Joe was also a big OU Fan.
He was preceded in passing by his parents, a daughter Glenell Knipple, and a brother Paul Simpson.
Survivors include his son Walter Alan Simpson and his wife Carol of Oklahoma City, his daughter Angela Griffith of Choctaw, Oklahoma, one brother Stan Simpson of Virginia, three grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
There will be a private family burial at Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery.
The family has asked that memorial contributions be made in Joe's name to the Good Neighbor Project.
Services have been placed in the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
