Keith Wiyninger Jr.'s Obituary
Heaven’s gates were open wide when longtime resident of Fairland, Oklahoma Mr. Keith Wiyninger Jr. entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior at St. Johns Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. Keith was 76 years old. Keith was born to his parents Keith and Mildred Hoffine Wiyninger in Bonner Springs, Kansas on December 31, 1932. Keith was a Mechanical/Electrical Engineer who founded Kay Dee Design Company in 1977. He lived with his family in Iowa, Minnesota and California. His final residence was rural Fairland, Oklahoma for the last 15 years. He was a member of Southern Hills Baptist Church in Miami, Oklahoma and Commander of the Awana Clubs for over 40 years. On January 27, 1952 Keith took Miss Ardith Ashlock as his bride in Kansas City, Kansas. Keith loved fishing and boating. His dog, little Amber, has been his longtime companion. The last 13 years he, Ardith and Stevee have traveled to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, to minister to the children of Casa Hogar Orphanage and other people of that area. Since he is now in heaven, his memory and legacy will be kept alive though the family and friends he leaves behind which include:
His wife of 57 years Ardith of the home, 2 sons: Michael and wife Cindy of Maple Grove, Minnesota, Edward and wife Debrah of Coon Rapids, Minnesota, 3 daughters: Karen Hunter of Miami, Oklahoma, Sheryl Alder of Mound, Minnesota and Stevee Ashlock of Atlanta, Georgia, 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives, longtime friends and neighbors.
Funeral service will be held 3:00 PM, Monday June 29, 2009 at Southern Hills Baptist Church with Pastor Dale Neal officiating. Interment will follow at Fairland Cemetery in Fairland, Oklahoma. Family visitation will be held Sunday June 28, 2009 from 2-4 PM at Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home in Miami, Oklahoma.
