Kay Ann James' Obituary
Kay Ann (Walker) James, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Methodist Hospital in Katy, TX. She was 60 years old. Kay was born November 3, 1954 in Welch, OK to Jesse Lee Walker and Rosalea (Kay/Walker) Cole. She was a graduate of Welch High School Class of 1972. After high school, Kay worked for several businesses in the Welch area. In 1981, she moved to Houston, TX with her husband. She will always be remembered for her vibrant , fun loving spirit and her love of life and family. She was preceded in death by her father, Jesse Lee Walker, and by a brother, Frankie Dale Walker. Kay is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Jesse James, of the home, one son, Clint James of Onalaska, TX, grandchildren, Eva James and Kaydence James, step-daughter, Tonia Kernodle, step-grandchildren, Sandra-Anne Kernodle and Robbie Kernodle, her mother, Rosalea Cole, and brother, David Walker and wife Neyda of Houston, TX, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at the Welch Cemetery. Minister Brad Canham will officiate. Casket bearers will be Jason Brant, Wayne James, Brandon Johnson, Bill Johns, Dusty Park, and Arthur Lee Bradshaw.
