Kathy Jane Blay's Obituary
Kathy Jane Blay, 60-year-old Miami resident passed away unexpectedly, Monday January 28, 2019.
Kathy was born on February 6, 1958 in Parsons, Kansas to Jerry and Phyllis (Bray) Stice. She attended Labette County High School and graduated in 1976. Kathy worked for many years on software for the medical field. Most recently worked as a stay at home mom.Kathy was an avid cook who also enjoyed gardening. She loved to bird watch and crochet but above all her favorite hobby was her loving family, and her loving dogs, Pixie Tink, Sophie, and Snickers.
Kathy is preceded in death by her husband of over twenty years, Allen, and her parents Jerry and Phyllis.
Kathy is survived by her daughter Sarah Beth Blay who is currently attending school at the university of Oklahoma, three sisters, Jeri Beth Simmons and husband Tony of Parsons, Kansas, Kelly Anderson and husband Marty of Salem, Missouri, and Kimberly Cowen of Miami, Oklahoma, five nephews, Logan, Noah and Matthew Simmons, and Ty and Craig Cowen, and two nieces Katie Anderson and Abby Maxham
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday February 5, 2019 at the Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Parsons, Kansas. A visitation for friends and family will be held Monday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sarah Beth's education fund.
