Kathryn M Robinson's Obituary
Kathryn Melea Robinson, 59, of Miami, OK, passed away peacefully June 1st, 2023, at Freeman West in Joplin, surrounded by her beloved family.
She was born January 17th, 1964 in Chanute, KS to Garold and Mary Jane (McGuffey) Burghart. She was a graduate of Chanute High School, class of 1982. She married the love of her life, Randy Robinson, at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Chanute, KS on April 30, 1983. Kathy and Randy have built a legacy of love for over 40 years. From their union they had three beautiful children, Chris, Levi and Miranda.
Kathy was a caring wife, mother, grandma, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend. Many people considered her their surrogate mother. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing, knitting, and crafting with her grandchildren. She was more than happy to be the central figure in the lives of others. Anyone that knew that, knew she was the star in their lives and that's all that mattered to her. She was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Chanute, KS.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents; her in-laws, Janice LaRue Birdsall and Harry Arthur Robinson; and a grandson, Kharter Lee Blevins.
Those mourning her loss include her husband, Randy of the home; her parents, Garold and Mary Jane Burghart of Chanute, Ks; two sons, Chris and wife Jennifer, Levi and wife Jeannie, and one daughter, Miranda; all of Miami, OK; grandchildren, Hannah and Albert, Macie, Cason, Sophia, Khloe and Beckham; one great-granddaughter, Novaleigh; four brothers, Mike and wife, Beth, Jeff and wife, Diane, Rusty and wife, Teri, and Robb and wife, Heather; father in-law, Mike Birdsall; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday, June 8, 2023 at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Commerce. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2023 at the Memorial Park Cemetery, Chanute, KS with Father J.D. Betzen officiating.
After the service, the family invites all friends attending to join them in a luncheon to be held at the St. Patricks Catholic Church Parrish Hall in Chanute.
Services are entrusted to the Thomas & Chenoweth Funeral Home, Welch, OK.
