Junior Ray Jones' Obituary
Junior Ray Jones, 68, of Vinita, OK, passed away November 3, 2015 at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa, surrounded by his family. He was born August 28, 1947 in Webbers Falls, OK to Bill and Wilma (Martin) Jones. He worked in construction for several years as well as Eastern State Hospital in Vinita. Junior was married to Judy Allen. The couple shared 20 years together raising their family. He later married Judy Cramer. After 8 years, Judy preceded him in death in October, 2008. After some time had passed, and as Junior's health declined, his first wife, and mother of his children, returned as his companion and caretaker. Junior was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and friends. He was also preceded in death by his parents; 1 daughter; and 1 infant brother. He is survived by his 2 sons, Jason Jones and his wife Amy of Chelsea, and Jerard Jones and his wife Joni of Vinita, OK; 7 grandchildren, Tatum, Trinton, and Tanner Jones, all of Chelsea, Heath and Hayden Jones and Trinity and Addison Gordon, all of Vinita; 5 brothers, Cletus, Jerry, Raymond, Ed, and Billy Don Jones; 2 sisters, Ronna McConnell, and Donna Conrad; and a host of friends. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:oo to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, November 8, 2015 at the Thomas Funeral Home, Welch, OK. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 9, 2015 at the Thomas Funeral Home, Welch, OK. Casket bearers will be Brett Jones, Mike O'Dell, James Chandler, Kevin Chandler, Keith Hurst, Darrell Jones, David McConnell, Chad Hornback, Gary McConnell, and Rudy Conrad. Honorary casket bearers will be Heath Jones, Hayden Jones, Ed Jones, Jerry Jones, Raymond Jones, and Billy Don Jones. Interment at G.A.R. Cemetery, Miami, OK.
