June Rose Foust's Obituary
June Rose Ysbrand, formerly of Welch, OK, passed away early Monday morning, May the 6th, 2024, at Baylor Scott White Medical Center in Temple, TX.
She was born in rural Welch, OK to Heinrich (Henry) Peters and Ruth (Stubbe) Peters.
She attended school at Rogers and later graduated from Welch High School. She married Clifford Stewart in 1952 and later divorced. She raised the four children they had together on her own. She later married Copeland George Ysbrand (Joe) on December 7th, 1974, and had one son. They enjoyed 11 years of marriage prior to his passing on November 26, 1985. In December 2008, she married her high school boyfriend, Delroy Foust who currently resides in Welch.
While her older children were in school in Welch, June worked during the day and went to school at night to become a nurse so she could make a better life for herself and her children. A very proud moment for her children is when she crossed the stage to accept her degree. She worked at St. Francis in Tulsa, OK for 24 years. She loved sewing, cardmaking, fishing, crafting of any kind, and her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Ysbrand, her parents, Ruth and Henry Peters, and her son, Scott Stewart.
She is survived by her sister, Margie McClintock of Spokane, WA; four children, Karen McCarthy of Gatesville, TX, Judy Dunbar of Tulsa, OK, Sherri Martin and husband Jack Martin of Corinth, MS, and Joe Ysbrand and wife Kandis of Dallas, TX; stepchildren Dan Foust of Tulsa, OK, Chris Foust and wife Rhonda of Welch, OK, Teresa Root and husband Beans of Welch, OK; 14 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; 3 nephews and one niece.
Her family was never defined by biological boundaries. She considered many other people as family including 3 daughters of her best friend for over 70 years, friends of her children's her church family, her work family, and anyone else that came into her life.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May the 11th, 2024, at the Welch Christian Church located at 311 Queen St. Welch, OK. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 a.m.
