Julie Marie Thompson's Obituary
Julie Thompson, 43, a resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away at her home on Saturday, March 29, 2014. Julie was born on July 2, 1970. Her parents are Judith Anita (Cantrell) Shelton and Larry Shelton and John Julian Huff and Ellen Huff. Julie was a 1988 graduate of Miami High School and then went on to graduate from Oklahoma State University. She was a Certified Public Accountant but most recently was a stay at home mother who volunteered many hours at the Clarehouse in Tulsa and at her daughters school Metro Christian Academy. Julie was very active in her church and was a former member of First Christian Church in Miami. Mrs. Thompson was preceded in passing by her Grandparents Lewis and Margaret Cantrell.
Surviving family members include her parents, Judi and Larry Shelton of Miami and John and Ellen Huff of Pryor, her husband Charles Bruce Thompson of the home and her daughter Karis Marie Thompson of the home. Other survivors include Lindsey and Justin Coe of San Diego, California, Ashley and Bradley Thompson of Tulsa, Jon Shelton of Miami, Hershel Shelton of Korea and Jeania Souter of Tennessee along with her aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Julie's services are 2:00 PM on Friday, April 4, 2014 at First Christian Church in Miami with Dr. Wayne Shaw officiating. Interment will follow at the Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery under the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
The family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Clarehouse in Tulsa, Oklahoma and can be made in care of the Funeral Home at 5 B St. NW, Miami, OK 74354
