Julia Lynn Blackburn's Obituary
Julia Lynn (Davis) Blackburn, 59, of Miami, Oklahoma, lost her battle with cancer and passed away at her home on Saturday September 28", 2024. Julie was born August 18, 1965, to her loving parents Ben and Judy Davis, as well as her sister Laurie, and her brother Rick. Julie was the youngest of her 3 siblings. From a young age Julie was an adventurous child, with a love of the outdoors and a love for animals, Julie could always be found out playing in the woods, climbing trees, pretending she was a cowboy or an Indian, or simply enjoying the wonders of nature. As Julie grew older, she was known as an exceptionally hard worker and a loving mother to her son, Dalton. Julie was always willing to help those around her, working hard to help neighbors, friends, and family. She had a way of lighting up a room and brightening the spirits of those around her. Julie was always willing to open her arms and her heart to those in need and never hesitated to lend a helping hand. Despite her battle with a terrible illness, Julie never stopped fighting and continued to spread laughter, joy, and positivity to those around her. Julie was truly one of a kind and touched the lives of many, she leaves a hole that can never be filled for those that had the pleasure of knowing and spending time with her. For the last seven and a half years Julie worked for Simmons Foods as an administrative assistant at their Fairland, Oklahoma feed mill. Julie was cherished by her co-workers for her work ethic, determination, and her ability to always stay positive.
Those left to share in the beautiful memory of Julie include her parents Benny and Judith Davis. Her Sister Laurie DeMint, her brother Richard Davis and his son Timothy Davis. Her son and daughter in law Dalton and Katie Infield, and her two granddaughters, Nova and Euna.
Julia’s wishes were for cremation. Services have been placed in the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami, Oklahoma.
