Johnie Dewayne Waggoner's Obituary
Johnie Dewayne Waggoner, 63, formerly of the Welch and Vinita area, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016 at York Manor Nursing Center in Muskogee, OK, after a long illness. He was born July 14, 1952 in Nowata, OK to Johnie F. Waggoner and Edna M. Kimball. Dewayne was raised in the Talala, OK area. He spent a lot of time as he grew up in the area northwest of Welch and in Vinita. He was a mental health professional, retiring from Eastern State Hospital. He loved flowers, plants, building rock gardens, fish ponds, and most of all, watching his nieces and nephews play sports. He also loved attending birthday parties for them as well. He is preceded in death by his mother, Edna (Kimball) Sunday. He is survived by his father, Johnie of Pawhuska, OK; one brother, Randy Waggoner and wife Cathy of South Coffeyville, OK; one sister, Debbie Riley and husband Morgan of Welch, OK; nieces and nephews, Tiffany Rogers, Heather Bible, Bo Waggoner, Kristin Kuehn, Rusty Riley, and Seth Riley; great nieces and nephews, Tyler, Lilly, Jesse, Simmone, Kerstan, Hagen, Briley, Brandi, Joseph, and Woodrow; along with several aunts and uncles. A memorial service remembering Dewayne will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2016 at the Full Gospel Christian Center in Watova, OK. Jolie Blankenship will officiate. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Talala, OK.
