John Harvey Williams' Obituary
John Harvey Williams, 74, of Bluejacket, OK, passed away November 15, 2018 at Freeman Health System in Joplin, MO, after an illness. John was born October 30, 1944 in Miami, OK to Woodrow Wilson Williams and Gladys Helen (Titus) Williams. He was a high school graduate. On October 30, 1974, he married Shirley Elaine Remund. He worked for many years as a truck driver and diesel mechanic for Bingham Sand and Gravel.He loved to go hunting, fishing, visiting with his friends, and roughing it "pioneer" style with his buddies. He also loved to help work on Monster trucks. He was a member of the Bluejacket Baptist Church.He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley, on July 31, 2013; his parents; and one sister, Martha Anderson.He is survived by one son, Johnny Williams and wife Pam of Vinita, OK; one brother, Alan Williams and wife Sandy of Bluejacket; one sister, Margie Harper of Grove, OK; a brother in law, Mike Anderson of Miami; three grandchildren, Georgia Ruckman, Cadence Williams, and Breanna Black; along with several nephews and nieces.The family will receive friends from 5-6 p.m. Friday, November 23, 2018 at the Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Welch. A graveside Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 24, 2018 at the Bluejacket Cemetery. Pastor Wes Davis will officiate.In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the charity of your choice in memory of John.
