Joe was the best. His smile, positive attitude and caring nature made him so special to the entire Owens family. His last visit to see my mother, Cherry Owens, before Christmas was a great gift to her. He was like family to us and we all will miss him. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. I first met Joe as a kid attending funeral directors meetings and conventions with my parents, Tim and Clara Key. He was always laughing and smiling and always had to give me and my mom a hug when we saw him. My dad thought alot of him and they always had a great friendship. I know his family and friends will miss him tremendously and our industry has lost a great funeral director. My mom and I send our heartfelt thoughts and prayers with you during this time of loss.

Joe never knew a stranger. He was one of the friendliest people you could ever meet. He treated everyone as his equal and he always spoke to you. You never saw him without a huge smile on his face. He couldn't sit still, he was always busy and working. Such a great mentor to many young people. He was a great friend to many and will be missed tremendously. Joe was a living example of a genuine human being. He cared for everyone and everyone cared for him. We will miss you Joe. Our prayers go out to the family during this time. We will truly miss Joe. I still remember him driving to Stillwater to help work on our house. He fell off of a tool box and had to get stitches in his leg...then continued working on our house as soon as he was released..even against our protests. He was always one to help when needed and could always put a smile on your face. We will miss him dearly.
