Joan Armstrong's Obituary
Joan Armstrong, 58, of Fairland passed away June 13 in Springfield, Missouri. Joan was born on October 12, 1956 in Dallas, Texas to E.G. and Betty Jo (Phillips) Wasson. She worked as a home health worker and loved taking care of people; she also worked as a prep cook at Pizza Hut in Grove. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting and attended church at Fairland Assembly of God and Church of the Shepherd in Grove. Joan was preceded in passing by her mother and her sister Donna Jean Wasson.
Survivors include her father E.G. Wasson, her children Amy Houston and her husband Shawn of Broken Arrow, T.J. Armstrong and his wife Shawna of Fairland, Josh Armstrong of Fairland, Marie Brown and her husband Nate of New Mexico, and Spring Anne Houck and her husband John of Zena, her two brothers, Frankie Wasson and Terry Wasson along with her eighteen grandchildren.
Visitation is June 17, 2015 from 6-8PM at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairland.
Graveside Services are June 18, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Hickory Grove Cemetery.
