Jay Gilbert Gibson's Obituary
Jay Gilbert Gibson, 56, resident of Grove passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Freeman Health System in Joplin, Missouri. He was born to Jack G. and Delores Maxine Shafer Gibson on March 11th, 1957 in Canyon, Texas. He married Susan K. Kulow, she survives of the home. He has been a resident of Oklahoma since 1984 having moved here from Liberal, Kansas. He was owner and chef of Lorene's Restaurant in Fairland, Oklahoma. He was a member of Lake Center Baptist Church. Jay is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Susan, of the home, one brother; Butch Gibson of Fairland, two brothers-in-law; Terry Kulow of the home, Harold Kulow and wife Debbie of Tyrone, Oklahoma, three sisters; Kay Olson and husband Jim of Tyrone, Oklahoma, Carolyn Ring and husband Johnny of Spearman, Texas and Janet Burris and husband Eddie of Sherman, Texas and by numerous nieces and nephews who dearly loved their Uncle Jay, also many "four-legged" children who will miss him very much. Services are planned for Tuesday, February 11, 2014 with a visitation beginning at 1:00 PM with funeral services at 2:00 PM at the Lake Center Baptist Church at Monkey Island, Oklahoma with Rev. Kim Hays officiating. Interment will be at Hickory Grove Cemetery northwest of Grove. Services are under the direction of Adcock Funeral Home at Fairland, Oklahoma.
