Janice Kay Pryor's Obituary
Janice Kay Pryor, lovingly known by family and friends as Jan, passed away surrounded by the love of those she cherished most. Born on September 10, 1970, to Jack and Daisy Waldon, Janice lived a life marked by strength, devotion, and unconditional love for her family.
At a young age, Janice found the love of her life in Jimmy. Together, they built a life rooted in loyalty, laughter, and enduring love. Their bond was one that stood the test of time and served as an example to all who knew them.
Janice was a woman of remarkable spirit. Through every challenge life placed before her, she met it with determination, resilience, and grace. Her strength inspired those around her, and her kindness left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Above all else, Janice’s greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was being a mother. She loved her children, Tyler and Taylor, with her whole heart. Her love for them was fierce, unwavering, and evident in every part of her life. She devoted herself completely to her family and treasured every moment spent with them.
She is survived by her devoted husband, James Pryor; her beloved children, Tyler Pryor and Taylor Pryor; her brothers, Ricky and Vivian Waldon, Joe and Pam Waldon, Max Waldon, Jacky Waldon, Jerry Waldon, Billy Chandler, Larry Chandler, and Kenny Chandler; her sisters, Carol French and Charles McGinty, and Cindy and Bruce Bluejacket; in-laws Suzanne and Robert Pryor; along with countless nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Daisy Waldon, and her brother, Jimmy Waldon.
Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void, the love she gave so freely and the strength she carried throughout her life will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
There will be a graveside service for Mrs. Pryor, at the Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery in Miami, Oklahoma, at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, May 21, 2026.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
