James Leroy Miller's Obituary
James Leroy Miller, 50, of Welch, OK, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born September 21, 1963 in Miami, OK to Jack Howard and Arlene Jean (Wedding) Miller. He was a graduate of Welch High School, Class of 1981. He married Mary Lawson on June 27, 2009 at Timberhill near Bluejacket. James had a love for agriculture and the outdoors. He was an avid farmer, fisherman, and a pretty good pecan picker as well. He was a former member of the Maybelle Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack. He is survived by his wife Mary; his mother Arlene Hull and husband, Chuck, of Miami; special step children, Zack and Ashley; siblings, Tommy Miller of Welch, Donnie Miller of Houston, Jackie Miller and wife Ashley of Welch, Michelle Miller of Enid, and Michael Miller and wife, Rhonda of Rural Welch; 3 grandchildren, Isabelle Lawson of Miami, Haylea Barnett of Muskogee, and Chevelle Lawson of Colorado Springs, CO; special niece and caretaker, Dena Hardin of Bluejacket; many other special nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 22, 2014 at Williams Timberhill Cemetery, East of Welch. Rex Porter and Greg Miller will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be VO, Willie, Melvin, and Harold Morgan, Eddie Hardin, and Todd Veach. Interment following. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to OSU Medical Center in Tulsa.
