James "Jim" Arthur VanFleet's Obituary
James "Jim" Arthur VanFleet, 63, of Fairland passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Integris Grove General Hospital. He was born July 18, 1952 in Binghamton, New York to Frank VanFleet and Gloria (Owens) Davis. He moved to the area in 1989 and has worked at Elliott Trucking in Vinita for several years. He married Janice (Cron) November 10, 2004. They enjoyed camping together and watching football together and when the grandkids were playing. Jim and Janice are members of First Assembly of God in Fairland. He was preceded in passing by his father Frank VanFleet, a son Brion Boyd and three grandsons.
Survivors include his mother Gloria Davis of North Carolina, his wife Janice VanFleet of the home, his children Amy VanFleet of Tahlequah, Danielle Wood and her husband Michael of Fairland, Erica VanFleet of Denver, James VanFleet Jr. of North Carolina, Sarah VanFleet of Miami, Rebekah VanFleet of Grand Junction, Colorado, Matthew VanFleet and his wife Kristi of Oklahoma City and Leeann Padberg and her husband Don of Fairland. His sister Nadine Lewis and her husband John and brother Robert VanFleet both of North Carolina along with twenty three grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive.
Visitation will be 6-8 PM Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairland.
Jim's Services will be 2:00 PM at First Assembly of God in Fairland on Friday, December 4, 2015 with Reverend Jackie Crafton officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairland Cemetery under the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
