James Edward Harrison, Jr.'s Obituary
James Edward Harrison, Jr., 67, of rural Welch, Okla., passed away Friday morning, March 19, 2021, from injuries sustained in an accident at his home.
He was born December 16, 1953 in Tulsa, Okla. to James Edward Harrison, Sr. and Anna Gertrude (Lock) Harrison. After graduating high school, he joined the United States Navy, proudly serving his country for 22 years. On March 1, 1979, he married the former Lillie Mae Goforth in a ceremony in Memphis, TN.
He had a Masters Degree, and worked for many years as an electrician for the Duvall County Schools in Jacksonville, FL. He previously attended the Cowboy Junction Church in Vinita, and the Welch Methodist Church. He loved to hunt, fish, and play golf.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife Lillie, of the home; two children, Holly Reese of Welch, and Scott Lane of Germany; two sisters, Becky Beckenstine, and Theresa Kennedy; four grandchildren, Alix and Max Cyr, and Olivia and Victoria Lane; along with several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with his wishes, James will be cremated and no formal services will be held.
