James Glen Durbin's Obituary
James Glen Durbin, 75, of Bluejacket, Okla., passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his family.James was born September 25, 1942 on Monkey Island to George Durbin and Jenny (Hopper) Durbin. He was a high school graduate. He served his country for six years in the United States Air Force.On August 31, 1968, he married the love of his life, Winnie Heiney in a ceremony in Bluejacket, where they made their home and raised their children.He loved to hunt, fish, spend time with his grandkids, and visit with family. Going to his grandkids ballgames kept him busy, and brought him great joy.He is preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Myrtle Taylor.He is lovingly survived by his wife, Winnie, of the home; one son, Jerald Glen Durbin and wife Angela of Tulsa; one daughter, Kathy Windle and husband Rod of Bluejacket; three brothers, Kenneth Durbin and wife Janice of Bluejacket, Harold Durbin of Bluejacket, and Charles Durbin and wife Phyllis of Mustang, Okla.; one sister, Linda Pisocki and husband Mike of Topeka, Kans.; five grandchildren, Tanner McHone, Ryan Windle, Sidney Windle, Sophie Windle, and Shelby Durbin; numerous nephews and nieces; as well as a host of friends.The family will greet friends at the Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Welch from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2018. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2018, also at the Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Welch. Pastor Ralph Heiney will officiate. Burial will follow in the Bluejacket Cemetery.Serving as casket bearers will be Tanner McHone, Rod Windle, Charlie Reeves, Rick Hampton, Ryder Blackfox, Rudy Winfrey, Jason Langley, and Colby Brown.Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post #147.
