James L Blythe Sr.'s Obituary
James Leslie Blythe Sr., 90, a resident of Bernice passed away Sunday Morning, December 9, 2012 at Integris Baptist Regional Health Center in Miami. Jim was born on October 2, 1922 to John and Emma (Cox) Blythe. Jim worked at Standard Oil in Richmond, California; he was the Chief of Police for the Miami Police Department when he retired January 2, 1975. He also owned a small engine repair shop. He enjoyed dancing and archeology. Jim was preceded in passing by his parents John and Emma Blythe, a wife Hazel Blythe two brothers Woodrow and Leo Blythe, a sister Obeda Blythe and a great grandson CJ Kreider-Reece.
Survivors include his companion Marion Summers of the home, a son James Leslie Blythe Jr. and his wife Elaine of Afton a daughter Barbara McEntire and her husband Randy, of Afton, three granddaughters, one grandson, eleven great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.
There will be a private family burial at the Sixkiller Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
