Jack N. Benbrook's Obituary
Mr. Jack N. Benbrook passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2009 in Grove, Oklahoma at the age of 82. Jack was born in Miami, Oklahoma to his parents Walter and Jewel Lane Benbrook August 27,1926. Jack has been a longtime resident of Miami, Oklahoma. As a young man, Jack served his country in the United States Navy, serving during WWII. He and his wife Edith were married in Columbus, Kansas August 28, 1944 and have made Miami there home since. He and Edith owned and operated Square Deal Auto Supply in North Miami for many years. Jack retired from BF Goodrich after 20 years of service. Jack had many hobbies in his lifetime. He enjoyed being outdoors with such activities as hunting, fishing and boating. He enjoyed building cars as well. Jack was a member of the American Legion Post # 147
Although Jack is no longer with us, his memory and legacy will be kept alive through the family and friends he leaves behind which include:
His wife Edith of 64 years of the home, 1 Son: Duane Benbrook of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, 4 grandchildren,3 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives, longtime friends and neighbors. Jack is preceded in death by his parents, 1 Son: Larry Benbrook and 2 brothers.
