Jack D Anderson's Obituary
Former resident of Miami, Ok Mr. Jack D. Anderson passed from this life on Monday July 5, 2010 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years. Jack was born in Picher, Oklahoma to his parents Louis and Lurrany Anderson January 27,1928.
Jack served his country faithfully in the United States Army during WW II. He was employed by Yellow Freight as a truck driver for many years at his retirement. Jack married Thelma Althouse November 15, 1972 in Arkansas and has resided in many states such as St. Louis, Missouri for 22 years, Phoenix, Arizona for 7 years, California for 7 years while returning to Jenks, Oklahoma for the last 20 years.
Jack enjoyed many hobbies such as bowling, fishing, hunting and boating. He was a member of the Masons.
Although Jack is no longer with us, his memory and legacy will be kept alive through the family and friends he leaves behind which include: His wife of 37 years Thelma Anderson of the home, 3 Daughters: Linda Smith of the home, Charla Counts of St. Louis, MO and Brenda Anderson of Modesto, California, 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents, 1 Daughter: Sheryl and 1 Grandson: Gregory Smith, 3 Brothers and 1 Sister.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday July 9, 2010 at Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Eden officiating.
Interment will follow at GAR Cemetery. Family visitation will be held Thursday July 8, 2010 at Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home from 6-8 PM.
