J. Ross Lewin's Obituary
J. Ross Lewin, 67, a resident of Commerce, Oklahoma passed away Friday, March 22, 2024 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. Ross was born on April 21, 1956, in Baxter Springs, Kansas, to Ross and Leona (Kelley) Lewin. Ross attended Commerce Public School and married his high school sweetheart Leona Brashear on November 17, 1976. He later joined the United States Navy. He worked as a welder all of his life to support his family. He was a very family oriented person. When he wasn’t taking care of his family he enjoyed working with leather and welding. Ross was a very honest person, he was a very blunt but very caring person. He was loved by his children, grandchildren, and friends. To Ross family was not just blood, he saw his closest friends as family as well. Ross is preceded in passing by his wife, Leona Lewin, parents, Ross and Leona Lewin, son, Joshua Lewin, and his brother, Tommy Parkins.
Mr. Lewin is survived by his daughter, Aminta Wilson, four grandchildren, and his nieces, Meredith and Patricia.
Cremation services have been placed in the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
