Iva Lee Grimes' Obituary
Iva Lee Grimes, 81, a resident of Wyandotte, Oklahoma, passed away at her home on Tuesday, October 8, 2025. Iva was born in Hindsville, Arkansas, on October 1, 1944, to James and Lucille (Hadley) Allen. Iva married Donald Eugene Grimes and together they would spend many wonderful years together. Iva worked for the Wal-Mart Corporation supervising remodels of Wal-Mart and SAMS Clubs. After retirement Iva enjoyed spending her free time collecting coins, watching game shows, cooking, researching her family ancestry, and most of all spending time with her family. Iva is preceded in passing by her parents James and Lucille Allen and brother-in-law Bobby Ray Cook.
Those left to share the memory of Mrs. Grimes include her husband, Donald Grimes, sons, William Cody Grimes and Bradley Grimes, step daughter, Deann Kellog, siblings, Sharon Cook, Dwight Allen and his wife Patricia, Elaine Gardner, sister in law, Paula Forbes and her husband Bob, brother in law, Gary Lape and his wife Kathleen, sister in law, Tammy Perez and her husband Tim, sister in law, Karen Sefton, and brother in law Richard Youngblood. Grandchildren include Ethan and Emma Grimes.
Visitation for Mrs. Grimes will be from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
There will be a graveside service for Mrs. Grimes on at 10:00 A.M., Monday, October 13, 2025, at the Myaamia Heritage Cemetery in Miami, Oklahoma.
