Issic "Ike" Lee Lacy's Obituary
Issic “Ike” Lee Lacy, 94, a lifelong resident of Miami, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. Ike was born in Rogers County, Oklahoma, close to Claremore, to Jasper and Rebecca (Woolsworth) Lacy. Ike served his country from 1947 until 1953, first as a soldier in the United States Army, then the Army Nation Guard. After his military service, Ike worked for BF Goodrich as a tire builder. Ike married Margie Sharp, he later married Beth Kidwell, and on October 24, 1995, married Nancy Dampman in Las Vegas, Nevada. After retirement Ike had many hobbies to keep him busy, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, picking pecans, working in his garden, watching the wild birds that gathered in his backyard, doing yard work, and just being outside in general. He also enjoyed playing craps, spending time with his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. He was also a lover of animals. He especially loved his dog, Rex. Anyone who knew Ike knew that he was very honest. Ike was Ike. Proceeding Ike in passing are his parents, Jasper and Rebecca Lacy, his son, Roger Lacy, and his twelve siblings.
Those left to share the memory of Mr. Lacy include his wife, Nancy Lacy of the home, son, Michael Dale Lacy of California, son, Michael Anthony Huntzinger and his wife Chancy of Green Bay, Wisconsin, daughter, Janet Howard and her husband David of Miami, daughter, Tammi Larson, and her husband Gary, of Huntsville, Texas, Karen Turner of Afton, Oklahoma, twelve grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Sunday, December 3, 2023, from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
Services will be 10:00 AM, Monday, December 4, 2023, at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service's Chapel in Miami. Interment will follow at the Glen-Abbey Memorial Garden East of Miami.
