Isaac Zane Tanner's Obituary
Isaac Zane Tanner was born on September 28, 1952 to Johnny Isaiah Tanner and Jean Louise Long. He was the youngest of five siblings. Karen Seigel, John Wally Tanner, Iris Boling, and Grover Tanner.
He joined the Air Force in 1970 and was honorably discharged in 1972. He served in the Wyandotte Honor Guard for many years with his brother Grover.
He was married & divorced twice first to Sharron Relation (mother of Angel) and then to Margaret Joan McQuaig with whom he had three more girls.
He was a proud father of four girls Angel Tanner (deceased), Michele Renee Hathcock (Chris), Melissa Ann Thompson (Daniel), Nancy Joan Tanner (Justin Woods).
He had six grandchildren Carrie Jean Hathcock, Zane Michael Nicholson (Blu), Christian Alexander Hathcock (Ally), Noah Michael Thompson, Alyce Tymora Woods, and Gavin Zayn Woods.
He had 5 great-grandchildren Xavier Hathcock, Xayden Hathcock, Octavia Hathcock, Ami Nicholson, and Loki De'Rose Nicholson.
He was a truck driver all his life, after the Air Force. He worked for Arkansas Freight, that turned into American Freight, and was later bought out by FedEx. He also worked for a time for BBC Electric as a driver as well.
He loved to tell a joke and was an avid hunter & fisherman, a home mechanic, woodworker, and beader. In his younger years he also trained horses and could be found weekly at the roller skating rink (the man could dance on those 4 wheels.)
He loved to watch the eagles, hawks, and dear at Twin Bridges or anywhere else he decided to nature watch.
He was a fan of John Wayne, Chuck Norris, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Steven Seagal, James Bond, Godzilla, and Frankie Avalon movies.
He loved to read western novels, mainly Zane Grey ones.
He passed away on February 14, 2025 of a heart attack.
He is Greatly Loved and we all morn his passing.
Maybe he finally got that Blonde, Brunette, and Red head and is in the "Bahamas" right now with them & his fist full of hundred dollar bills.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 1st, 2025, at the Wyandotte Cultural Center. Burial will follow in the Wyandotte Cemetery. Following burial, the family will return to the Cultural Center to receive friends until 2:00 p.m.
