Henry Russell Flanders' Obituary
Henry Russell Flanders, 79, of Welch, Okla., passed away early Friday morning, November 1, 2019, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.
He was born September 19, 1940, in Vinita, Okla. to William J. Flanders and Billye Marie (Jones) Flanders. He was a high school graduate, continuing his education by going to college and obtaining an Associate Degree. He served his country in the United States Air Force.
Henry was a man that loved to work. He owned an auto trim business for years, he then owned his own dry cleaning business, and then enjoyed seeing the sights as a truck driver. In his spare time, he loved raising cattle and gardening where he raised his own grapes.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Bobby and Ricky Flanders.
He is survived by his loving companion of many years, Pam Praytor, of the home; 3 children, Patrick Henry Flanders, Tracy Judd, and Jana Hoffman, and Pam's children he loved as his own, Cody Praytor and Brooke Praytor; 2 siblings, Dixie Curlee and husband Gary, and Charles Flanders and wife Kathy; 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 2 very special nieces, Dana Able and Ricci Curlee, along with 4 other nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at the Thomas & Chenoweth Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, November 3rd. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 5th, also at the funeral home. Minister Jesse Burns will officiate. He will be laid to rest in the Welch Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Patrick Flanders, Corbee Curlee, Cody Praytor, and Gary Ingram.
