Helen Faye Tipton's Obituary
Helen Faye Tipton, 69, of Welch, Okla., went home to be with the Lord on January 24, 2022, after a sudden illness. She went peacefully at home, surrounded by her family.
She was preceded in death by her dad and mom, her stepdad Rex Addington, and her sister-in-law, Carolyn (Tipton) Maaele.
Helen was born to Calvin and A. Catherine (Hazen) Scheerer on January 20, 1953. She was their only child. She grew up in Joplin, Missouri and attended school there as well.
She found the love of her life, Tommy W. Tipton, Sr. and they were married January 28, 1976 at the Welch Methodist Church. They made their home in Welch where they raised their two children, Tommy Jr. and Tresie.
She had a heart for helping and taking care of others. She found her true calling when she decided to open a home daycare. She took care of all the children like they were her own. After having her daycare for many years, she decided to take a position as the director for a daycare in Miami, Okla.
Nothing made her happier than being with her family. Her family meant the world to her and she let them know that every day. Nothing made her prouder than her kids and grandkids and she bragged on them every chance she got.
Survivors include her husband, Tommy Tipton, Sr., of the home; her son Tommy, Jr. and wife Shannon of Bluejacket, her daughter, LeTrese "Tresie" Neill and husband Jason of Norman; grandchildren, Tori Tipton, Kadan Tipton, Cambri Tipton, Chansy Ducote, Kaisee Delaney, James Walters, Nate Neill, and Henley Neill; and her great grandchildren, Landon, Lana, Delilah, Declan, Hudson, and Riley.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 29, 2022, at the Thomas & Chenoweth Funeral Home in Welch. Pastor Ralph Heiney will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hickory Grove Cemetery.
