Harold Cletus "Clete" Neal's Obituary
Harold Cletus "Clete" Neal, 69, of Claremore, OK, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. He now joins his loving father, Harold C. Neal and his precious daughter, Stacey Neal, in eternal rest. Clete was born April 24, 1947 in Miami, OK to Harold C. Neal and Bonnie (Hayes) Neal. He was a graduate of Welch High School. On November 14, 1998, he married Patsy Fox at their family home. For many years, he worked as a self-employed barber in Coffeyville, KS. He served a number of years in the Army Reserves. He was an active member of the Memorial Heights Baptist Church in Claremore where he sang in the choir. He was an avid OU fan. He also loved to play golf. Clete is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Patsy, of the home; his mother, Bonnie Neal of Vinita; two brothers, Dean Evert Neal and wife Shirley of Neosho, MO, and Curtis Narvin Neal and wife Brenda of Vinita; two sisters, Teresa Jeanen Neal of Neosho, MO, and Gralena Jane Neal of Vinita; two grandchildren, Dallas and Dylan Rogers; as well as a host of friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2016 at the Welch Baptist Church. A visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., prior to the service. Clete's pastor, Paul Simpson, will officiate. Burial will follow at the Fairland Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Chris Osborn, Clay Osborn, Nathan Neal, Brandon Neal, Ronnie Maple, and Cody Maple. Honorary casket bearers will be Steve Grigsby, Jim George, Joe Neill, Pat Guest, Larry Able and Joe Schumacher. The family asks that those attending wear a shirt showing their favorite collegiate team colors. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 147, Miami, OK.
