Harold Eugene Humphrey's Obituary
Harold Eugene Humphrey, 68, a former resident of Welch, OK, passed away Friday, March 22, 2019 at Landmark Hospital in Joplin, MO.
He was born in Vinita, OK to Lewis Eathel (Budge) Humphrey and Edna Mae (Feltenbarger) Humphrey. He lived northwest of Welch until 1997, and later resided with his sister, Vickie Herrin and her family of Bluejacket, OK. He loved to go to the Home of Hope in Vinita to do his recreational jobs. He enjoyed riding his four-wheeler and picking up aluminum cans.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Richard; two step sisters; one step brother; his step father; and a half sister, Edna (Terrell) Brown.
Survivors include four sisters, Vickie Herrin and husband Tom of Bluejacket, Shirley McCord and husband Dennis (Denny) of Welch; Louise Blurton and husband Matt of Tyro, KS, and Betty Harris and husband Steve of Willis, TX; a step sister, Kaye Barrager of Oswego, KS; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Visitation is from 5-6 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at the Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Welch. Graveside service 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Lake Creek Union Cemetery, Bartlett, KS. Pastors Fred Wooldridge and Larry Renfroe will officiate. Casket bearers will be Will Ball, Gaylin Rogers, Dennis McCord, Dalton McCord, Damon Scott, Ronnie Hurt, Tom Herrin, and Keylon Stogsdill.
